Two leaders of Jamaat have been arrested during a police operation in Meherpur Wednesday afternoon.
They are upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Sohel Rana and Buripota union Amir Hamidul Islam.
Based on information, officer-in-charge (OC) (investigation) of Meherpur Sadar police station said that two teams of Sadar police station raided Kamdevpur and Radhakantpur villages and arrested two Jamaat leaders and brought them to the police station.
They have been sent to jail by the courts in sabotage case under the Special Powers Act.
