The Panchagarh BNP leader, who died during a fierce clash between the party activists and law enforcers on Saturday, had heart issues, police said.
“He was a bypass patient and died due to the disease. His body bore no injury marks,” said Panchagarh Superintendent of Police SM Sirajul Huda
He added that an autopsy would be done on Sunday, and no one has been arrested over the clash yet.

Abdur Rashid Arefin, 50, was killed during a clash on Saturday. Over 50 people including police were injured during the incident as well.
The deceased leader was the joint convener of Maidandighi union unit BNP.
He died while undergoing treatment at Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital.
