A 14-year-old disabled girl was raped by a man in Dinajpur city on Saturday.
Police arrested the rapist and sent him to the custody after the rape survivor's father lodged a complaint at the Kotwali police station.
The arrestee is Sujan, 29.
The incident took place at Chatrapara area of ward no 11 of Dinajpur city.
Sujan called the young girl at 7am on Saturday and then brutally raped her. They both live in the same neighborhood of the city, sources said.
The girl then proceeded to her own home and told her mother, aunt, and uncle about the rape after being let out of the rapist's home after an hour.
Kotwali police station Officer in-Charge (investigation) Golam Mawla said: “I have received the complaint. The rapist Sujan has been arrested and kept in Kotwali police station.”
He said legal action will be taken against the rapist.
