9 Gazipur filling stations fined over 7L

Two filing stations were fined for selling gas in illegal cylinders

A mobile court on Friday fined nine CNG stations in Gazipur for not having a Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) license and for selling gas in illegal cylinders. 

Executive Magistrate Nafis Elahi fined the filing stations a total of Tk7.80 lakh.

Managing Director Nripendranath Biswas of Gazipur Titas Gas said they have conducted raids at several CNG stations located in Gazipur city on Friday.

Seven filing stations were fined for not having or not updating their BERC licenses, and the other two stations were filed for selling gas in illegal cylinders.

Gazipur Titas Gas Engineer Nripendranath Biswas, Deputy Manager Asaduzzaman Azad and Md Amirul Islam were present during the raids.
