A youth has filed a written complaint against Hero Alam for embezzlement and death threats in Gazipur.
Rubel Munshi, 22, filed the complaint at Gazipur's Sreepur police station accusing Hero Alam and his two associates, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Moniruzzaman.
The accused are Ashraful Hossain alias Hero Alam, 35, Md Limon, 25, and Md Shuvo, 30.
In the complaint, Munshi mentioned that he was working in an online company owned by Hero Alam with a salary of Tk10,000.
In 2021, Hero Alam borrowed Tk20,000 from him. Apart from this, he deposited Tk70,000 (seven months' salary) to Hero Alam. Later, when he wanted the total amount (Tk90,000), Hero Alom started making excuses.
Munshi quit his job five months ago and took a job at Yan Food Company in Sreepur, Gazipur.
“On Thursday at 11pm, Hero Alam came in front of my current workplace, along with two people mentioned in the complaint. Later, he called me to return the money and asked me to leave the office,” Munshi said.
“When I left the office, Hero Alom took me to Medical Square in a private car. There, with the help of unknown people, they hacked my laptop, Gmail ID, Facebook ID and released me at around 3am. Later, he threatened me with assault and property damage, if I resorted to the law in these matters,” he continued.
Sreepur police OC Moniruzzaman said that an investigation is underway to reveal more details of the incident.
