A man has allegedly killed his younger by hitting him with a bamboo stick in the Khanjahan Ali area of Khulna city in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Parvez Sheikh, 28.
Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Khanjahan Ali police station, said Parvez was physically torturing his wife around 12:30am at their home.
“Rubel Sheikh, the deceased's elder brother, hit Parvez with a bamboo stick to save his sister-in-law from the torture. He was rushed to a Fatulla Upazila Health Complex, where he was pronounced dead,” said OC Kamal.
Police detained Rubel the same night.
