Khaleda Zia's appearance in 11 cases on September 20

Court resets date as BNP chief fails to appear before it due to ‘poor health’

Update : 08 Jun 2022, 02:15 PM

A Dhaka court on Wednesday set September 20 for the appearance of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia before it in 11 cases against her.

Wednesday had been fixed for the appearance of the BNP chief before the court, but Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayesh reset the date as Khaleda Zia failed to appear because of her "poor health".

During BNP's strike in early 2015, police filed eight cases at Darus Salam police station and two cases at Jatrabari police station, while a person filed a sedition case.
