Three people, including a local Union Parishad (UP) member, have been killed when a truck rammed into their motorcycle in Dinajpur.
The incident took place in the district’s Birol upazila in the early hours of Monday, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafiz Mohammad Raihan of Birol-Mangalpur police outpost.
The deceased were identified as Bochaganj UP member Rakib Hasan, 30, Sadbir Usman, 24, and Tasim Uddin, 20.
The three victims were headed towards Dinajpur, when a truck coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle.
The bodies have been handed over to the families as they did not file a case in this regard.
“However, an unnatural death case has been registered with Birol police station,” the OC added.
