Police arrested a man working as an intern of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Saturday in a case filed under the Anti-Pornography Act.
The arrestee is Arnab Paul, former assistant organizing secretary of CMCH unit Chhatra League.
The accused was arrested around midnight from CMCH hostel with the help of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP).
Sadekur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Panchlaish police station, said that Arnab was arrested in a case filed with Khilkhet police station in Dhaka in February this year.
“The plaintiff of the case said she had a love affair with the accused. Dhaka Metropolitan Police is investigating the case,” the OC added.
