Police have recovered the skull and bones of an unidentified person who was presumably burnt after being dismembered in Pubail of Gazipur.
Some construction workers spotted the charred skull and the limbs in a field beside Sabrina Dream Resort in Meghdubi area of the upazila, Officer-in-Charge of Pubail police Mohidul Islam said.
“We sent a team to the spot on information, and recovered the skull, one hand and parts of the two legs. A pair of sandals was also found,” he said.
Police sent the remains to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
The OC suspect that the person was killed and dismembered, and later the limbs set on fire some 10-12 days ago.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) are working to identify the body.
