Police have arrested two youths over the gang-rape of a schoolgirl in Dholarhat of Thakurgaon Sadar.
The arrestees are Ashraful, 22, and Motiur, 20.
The arrests were made on Wednesday from the old Thakurgaon Bazar area, said Officer-in-charge (OC) Chittaranjan Roy of Ruhia police station.
According to the victim, she was allegedly raped by her boyfriend, Sujan, a 10th grader of Debiganj village, and four to five others including Ashraful and Biplob.
Sujan took her to a poultry farm away from her house where they raped her. Afterwards they left her unconscious near her house at midnight, she said.
Her father said that he heard his daughter crying in the yard at around 3am.
"I came out of the house and found her bleeding. I also saw several wound on her body,’ he said.
Later, the victim was taken to a local doctor and a UP member was informed about the incident, her father added.
On Wednesday noon, the victim's father filed a case against five people at Ruhia police station.
Police are trying to arrest all the accused.
