A fisherman and his son went missing after their boat sank in Karnaphuli River in Chittagong.
The incident took place in the Anu Majhir Ghat area on Sunday morning.
They were identified as Prabal Das, 40, and his son Sameer Das, 15, hailing from the Kolagaon area of Patiya Upazila, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadarghat naval police station Mizanur Rahman.
"Two of the three people who were on the boat went missing. Another man, Sajib Das managed to swim ashore,” he said.
Nandankanan Fire Service and Civil Defence Senior Station Officer Mohammad Ali told Dhaka Tribune that, they were informed about the incident at around 6:30am. “The fire service divers have been looking for them since morning,” he added.
