The death toll in an explosion at a steel mill in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj rose to four on Friday.
Alamgir, 35, son of Azad Ali of Itna upazila of Kishoreganj, died while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the afternoon. 95% of his body was burnt, said the hospital authorities.
Three others are undergoing treatment.
The mishap took place at around 4pm on Thursday at a factory called RICL.
According to the factory's supervisor, Harun-ur-Rashid, the workers were melting iron when a furnace exploded.
The molten metal had spread everywhere and severely burnt at least seven of them, he added.
Harun said other workers might have been hurt, but their injuries were not severe.
