AL activists running campaigns to make Chittagong grand rally a success

People in large numbers are expected to throng the rally to make it a grand event to show their support, say Awami League leaders

Activists of the ruling party have been running in the port city to drum up support to make Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's December 4 grand rally at historic Polo Ground maidan a success.

Mass contact, publicity and wayside meetings were held at Enayet Bazar, Tin Pool, New Market, Kotwali Cinema Palace, and DC Hill areas. The program ended by holding a brief rally in the DC Hill area.       

Chaired by city unit Jubo League leader Nurul Azam Rony, city unit Awami League leader Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor inaugurated the program recently.  

Addressing on the occasion, Babor said that the grand rally will see a massive turnout as zeal and enthusiasm have been created among local people over the prime minister's arrival at the planned rally.   

People in large numbers are expected to throng the rally to make it a grand event to show their support to the development activities being carried out during the tenure of the present government, he observed   

City unit Jubo League leader Shibu Proshad Chowdhury, in his speech, said continuity of the present government is needed to ensure uninterrupted economic development in the country. 

Local people, who are eagerly waiting for the planned rally, will attend it to express their trust and support for the government.

City unit Jubo League leaders Ratan Ghosh, Mohammad Delwar, Kamrul Hasan, Rakibul Islam Selim, Mehedi Hasan, and other leaders of Awami League, Swechhasebok League, and Bangladesh Chhatra League also addressed the programs.
