At least four people have been killed and five injured when a truck collided with the back of a bus on Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
The incident took place at Sonapahar filling station area of Mirsarai upazila around 10:30pm on Wednesday.
Zorarganj Highway police station Officer-in-Charge AKM Sarfuddin confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
The deceased were identified as Mehedi Hasan, 22, Sumon, 28, and Sheikh Farid, 30.
The injured are Zorarganj Highway Police Constable Md Mostafa, 45, Abdul Awal, 50, Rafiq, 25, Abdul Awal, 50, Sheikh Ahmed, 45.
OC AKM Sarfuddin, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Zorarganj Highway Police Station, said that all of the deceased were pedestrians. Five injured were rescued and sent to a nearby hospital.
