Five daily wage earners were killed after being struck by a train in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj on Thursday night.
Gopalganj Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter.
The names of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The five, in their concrete mixer vehicle, were at a local level crossing when the Tungipara Express rammed into it, leaving them dead on the spot, the Fire Service official said.
