A fire broke out at a garment factory in Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur on Wednesday.
The fire started at around 9:30am on the fourth floor of the factory of Rayhan Knit Composite.
Kaliakair Fire Service Warehouse Inspector Saiful Islam said six firefighting units had managed to douse the flames in two hours.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately.
Workers of the factory said they were confused as to how the blaze had started as there was no electrical wiring on the floor.
