A teenage girl was killed and four others were injured as a nor’wester swept through Dinajpur on Tuesday night.
The deceased, 14-year-old Umme Kulsum, died after a wall of her house collapsed on her during the storm in the district’s Harirampur area.
The four other victims, who hail from Holinathpur, could not be identified immediately.

Among them, two are in critical condition.More than 300 houses were damaged and a number of trees were uprooted during the storm. Power supply was disrupted in several villages as well.
Dinajpur 6 lawmaker MP Shibli Sadique and local Awami League leaders visited the affected areas after the storm subsided.
Meanwhile, several villages in Nawabganj were also severely damaged by the storm.
It was reported that tin-shed houses, crops and utility poles had been damaged.
