Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets in Chittagong from Saturday ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr journeys.
The tickets will be sold from the new station counters.
Advance tickets for April 27 will be sold on Saturday while the tickets for April 28, 29, 30 and May 1 will be sold on April 24, 25, 26, and 27 respectively, according to sources.
Half of the tickets will be sold from the counters and the rest online.
This year, a passenger will be able to collect four tickets on the condition that he or she carries a NID card. The Eid special tickets are non-returnable.

Ratan Kumar Chowdhury, manager at the Chittagong Railway Station, hoped that ticket seekers would be able to collect tickets without much hassle this year.
Security officials told Bangla Tribune that a makeshift camp would be set up at the station for round-the-clock monitoring to avert any untoward incident.
The authorities have laid out a set of specific guidelines to stop sale of tickets in the black market this year.
Detectives in plainclothes will be deployed in the station area to check ticket black marketeering and anyone found guilty will be brought to book.
