At least 15 people were riddled with bullets in a violent clash between two groups over land dispute in Cox's Bazar on Friday.
The incident took place in Kuliapara area of Khurushkal Union.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital following the incident. Some of them are in critical condition.
According to the locals, there was a long-running dispute between two groups led by Faruq and Rashed over establishing domination on lands.
After the Friday prayers, there was a disagreement between the duo. Later, it turned into a clash when shots were fired indiscriminately, leaving the pedestrians injured.
Cox's Bazar Sadar model police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Munirul Gias said that a police team was sent to the spot in the evening to investigate the incident.
