A student and two others were killed in three separate accidents in Tangail on Saturday and Sunday.
The deceased are Sultana Razia, 65, Rezaul, 25, and Sulaiman Hosen, 17.
Mirzapur Government College's class 11 student Sulaiman, along with two of his friends, was riding a motorcycle and lost his balance while trying to overtake a CNG auto-rickshaw in the Baimhati area of the town on Sunday noon.
Sulaiman died on the spot and two other injured passengers were rushed to local Kumudini Hospital, said Gorai Highway police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rafiq.
In another motorcycle accident on Sunday noon, Rezaul died after being hit by a truck on Dhaka-Tangail Highway in the Pouli area of the district's Kalihati Upazila.
Elenga highway police outpost In-Charge Ataur Rahman said that Rezaul was returning to his house with a motorcycle convoy after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Bhuapur Gabsara union's newly-elected chairman.
At this time, a truck, while taking its turn, run over the convoy and fled the scene.
Another two motorcycle riders were critically injured in this accident and were rushed to Tangail General Hospital.
On the other hand, Razia Sultana died on the spot when an unidentified bus hit their Natore-bound microbus on the highway in the New Bypass area of Tangail in the small hours on Saturday.
