Members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have detained a Bangladeshi youth in Chatlapur border area of Moulvibazar’s Kulaura Upazila.
Faizur Rahman, from Haripur village of Sharifpur union, was detained on Thursday night.
Lt Col Mizanur Rahman Sikder, commander of Srimangal BGB 47 Battalion, confirmed the matter on Friday.

He said that an Indian relative of Faizur had come to Bangladesh illegally on Thursday.
“While Faizur and his relative were crossing the barbed wire fence at night, BSF members on patrol detained the duo.
“However, I have requested the BSF to return the Bangladeshi youth as soon as possible,” said the BGB official.
