A student of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) allegedly ended his life by jumping in front of a train at Mathabhanga area of Khulna on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Subrata Kumar, 19, a first-year student and son of Chandra Kumar Pal of Tangail.

Khanjahan Ali police station OC Prabir Kumar Biswas said Subrata jumped in front of the Khulna-bound commuter train coming from Jessore at around 12pm and died on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to the morgue of Khulna Medical College and Hospital.
