A 14-year-old boy has reportedly been killed after his co-worker inserted a compressor hose into his rectum and filled his body with air in Gazipur.
Police said the incident took place at the Anwara Mannan Textile Factory in Sreepur upazila early in the morning on Saturday.
Sreepur police OC Mahfuz Imtiaz Bhuiyan said that Opu Dewan was rushed to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where the doctors declared he was brought dead.
Opu’s coworker Raju has been detained, he said.
“Raju inserted the compressor hose unintentionally while blowing off scarred cotton from Opu’s body,” claimed the police officer.
The victim’s family is yet to file a complaint or start a case over the matter, said OC Mahfuz.
