A Bangladeshi man was beaten to death by some Indian nationals along Tahirpur border area in Sunamganj on Monday, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has said.
The deceased was identified as Jhinuk Mia, 25.
Md Mahbubur Rahman, chief of Sunamganj BGB 28 Battalion, confirmed the matter.
Jhinuk received a good beating by the Indian nationals after he entered India illegally on Monday morning, Mahbubur said.
He was rescued by his family members but died on way to the hospital, he added.
Mahbubur said that the BGB would protest the killing officially.
