The two probe committees, formed to investigate the unidentified disease which had claimed lives of nine children in Sitakunda, have submitted their reports.
The investigators submitted their reports to Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr Azizur Rahman Siddiqui on Sunday.
Dr Azizur Rahman Siddiqui told the Dhaka Tribune the probe reports have been sent to Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) for the next course of action.
When asked about the findings of the probes, the civil surgeon said he did not read the reports as they were dispatched to the IEDCR.

Offices of the Chittagong Civil Surgeon and Sitakunda Upazila Health Complex formed the two separate probe committees.
One of committees was headed by Mirsarai Upazila Health Officer Dr Abdul Malek while the other was headed by Sitakunda Upazila Health Medical Officer Dr Abdus Salam.
Nine children recently died due to the mysterious contagious disease. They belonged to the Tripura tribe living in the remote hilly areas of Sitakunda. A further 35 children have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital and Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious disease upon displaying similar symptoms.
On Saturday, a team from IEDCR visited Sitakunda and examined people afflicted with a mysterious disease.
