Shewcchashebak League men have allegedly vandalised the local BNP office in Patuakhali district.
The incident was reported from the district’s Banani area around 11:30am on Wednesday, confirmed Shewcchashebak Dal President Mashiur Rahman Milon.
Meanwhile, Advocate Toufiq Ali Khan Kabir, the general secretary of Juba Dal in Patuakhali, alleged that Swechchhasebak League men carried out the attack to foil BNP’s movement for establishing voting rights of the people.
“When the people are struggling to buy daily essentials due to price hike, the ruling party is ignoring basic human rights and attacking us,” he said.
However, Advocate Rifat Hasan Sajib, general secretary of Patuakhali district Swechchhasebok League, denied the allegations, saying that BNP leaders were making baseless allegations to hide their internal conflicts.
