Truth and justice have prevailed while lies have been defeated, says Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) Vice Chancellor Farid Uddin.
“The university authorities will not bow down to any unjust demands,” he said during the university’s 31st founding anniversary on Monday.
“If someone says anything that is legal and just, we will try to sort it out,” he added.
The vice chancellor, who was able to resume office on Sunday, after a 27-day protest against him, said that the university never has and never will bow down to injustice.

The VC said: “Students can make mistakes but we will see those with forgiveness.”
Saying that teachers are like guardians to the students, VC Farid went on to promise the students a digital campus.
He said that in the next few years, all female students will be able to live on campus and accommodation for 500 students will be arranged within this year in addition to resolving the food issues and purchase of four buses. He added that Tk50 lakhs has been allocated to resolve the internet issues.
The university’s residential halls have also been reopened as per a syndicate decision on Sunday, a day after students called off a 27-day protest demanding the resignation of VC Farid.
They called off the demonstrations after a meeting with Education Minister Dipu Moni on Friday.
