At least two people have been killed and 12 others injured after a bus veered off a bridge and fell into a ditch in Dinajpur.
The accident was reported on Saturday from the northern district’s Chirirbandar upazila, said police.
A long-haul bus operated by “Hanif Paribahan”, which was heading to Dinajpur town, swerved out of control and slammed into the railing of the Mohanpur bridge, said OC Bazrul Rashid of Chirirbandar police.
Locals alongside police and the fire service launched a rescue operation to recover two bodies from the site.

At least 12 people were injured in the incident, said the OC. Seven of them have been admitted to the Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital, he added.
The accident was caused by driver fatigue, according to the police officer.
