A man was killed when a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on in Nandina Kharkharia area of Jamalpur-Mymensingh highway on Wednesday.
Two others were also injured in the accident.
The deceased was identified as Sumon Kumar Kundu, hailing from Pabna.
Md Rezaul Karim Khan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jamalpur police, said a Dhaka-bound Rajiv Paribahan bus collided head-on with a Jamalpur-bound three-wheeler, leaving the passenger of the three-wheeler dead on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, police and fire service personnel reached the spot and rushed the injured to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Police later sent the Kundu’s body to the morgue of Jamalpur General Hospital for autopsy.
