Bangladesh is closely observing developments in relation to Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"Bangladesh believes that peace, stability and development of the region and beyond depend on the resolution of this crisis in a peaceful manner, which is only possible through dialogue and discussions among the parties involved," the ministry said in a press release.
"Bangladesh, therefore, urges all parties to continue their diplomatic efforts towards resolving this crisis, upholding the spirit of dialogue and cooperation," it added.
Western nations have intensified their high-stakes diplomatic push to avert open conflict in Europe as Moscow's troop build-up continues on the Ukrainian border.
The US and its allies have ramped up joint efforts to deter any Ukraine invasion, with Washington and London warning on Sunday it would be punished with "devastating" economic sanctions.
