A fire broke out at an oil factory in the Sagarika area in Chittagong metropolis on Monday.
The fire was reported around 10:30am at Jasmine Vegetable Oil Mill, said Senior Station Officer Enamul Haque of Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Upon information, seven fire trucks from four firefighting units rushed to the scene, and it took them nearly an hour and a half to douse the blaze.
No casualties were reported from the incident. However, the exact extent of the damage and the origin of the fire could not be known immediately, said the senior firefighter.
