A gun and ammunition have been recovered from a room of Shurjo Hostel of Pabla Banikpara Mouchak Tower in Daulatpur of Khulna.
Daulatpur police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter on Wednesday. No one was arrested in connection with the incident.
He said that a gun, 16 rounds of ammunition, a bomb-like object and bomb-making equipment were recovered from the spot during a raid on Tuesday afternoon.
The bomb-like object was reported to the RAB-6 bomb disposal unit. “Further action will be taken after the investigation.
