Update : 14 Jan 2022, 05:04 PM

The Rajshahi University administration has issued a set of health protection directives to protect its people from Covid-19 infection.

All teachers, students, officers and employees have been asked to follow the directives, including receiving vaccines and wearing masks on campus to prevent the spread of the virus.

The guideline issued on Thursday night is aimed at maintaining health rules, including taking double-dose vaccines, as directed by the government.

All the first-year students have been asked to take at least the first dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, academic activities, including classes in-person, in the university are going on at present since October 21 last year.

The authorities opened the students' dormitories for the convenience of the students. Hand sanitization basins have been set up at the entrance point for the students.

Vice Chancellor Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar said they had canceled the scheduled summer and winter vacations to recoup the academic losses.

The university launched an inoculation campaign aimed at bringing its students under the first dose and second dose Covid-19 vaccination.

It has also opened a 24-bed Covid-19 isolation room at the medical centre to deal with any emergency situation.
