The 50-year-old fell from a two-storey under construction building in capital’s Badda

A woman has died falling from the roof of a two-storey building in the Badda area of the capital on Thursday.
The incident took place around 11am in the area’s Bhawalipara, say police.
The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Suborna.
According to the victim’s daughter Mitu Akter, Suborna fell through the incomplete edge of the roof. She lived in a ground-floor flat of the same building with her husband and three children.
She was announced dead on arrival after they rushed her to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy, said Inspector Bacchu Mia of the hospital’s police outpost.
The building owner Malik Mohammad Asad said that the roof of the building had bamboo as its railing as it was still under construction.
