A massive fire broke out at a garments factory in Chittagong on Tuesday.
The incident was reported from the Anwara Garments factory at the port city’s Bayezid Bostami around 8am, fire officials said.
"Some 11 fire fighting units were dispatched. It took them over two hours to contain the blaze at around 10.30 am," said Md Anisur Rahman, the deputy director of Chittagong Fire Service and Civil Defence.
No casualties were reported. However, authorities are yet to ascertain the extent of damages, he added.
"A probe has been ordered to find out the exact cause of the fire," said the official.
