A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained four people, including top criminal Bodi Alam Prakash alias Badaiya, in a raid in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf upazila.
At that time, 10,020 pieces of yaba pills, Tk36,660 in cash, foreign liquor bottles, two single-barreled guns, two rounds of fresh ammunition and locally made weapons were recovered from them.
RAB-15 detained them on Saturday night from a shanty next to a fish farm in Hnila union, said Deputy Commander Tanbir Hasan during a press briefing on Sunday.
On the basis of secret information, a RAB patrol team came to know that some armed drug dealers were staying in that house.
The operation was conducted around 11:40pm when the four criminals were consuming yaba, the RAB official added.
“We’ll take further legal action against the accused,” he added.
