Criminals killed a rickshaw-puller and stole his rickshaw in the small hours of Thursday in the Sagarpara area of Rajshahi city.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Quader, 55, a resident of Srirampur in the city.
Golam Ruhul Kuddus, spokesperson for Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, said criminals waylaid Quader while he was returning home around 1am and stabbed him in the neck, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, they fled with his rickshaw. Locals spotted the body in the morning and informed police.
The body has been sent to Rajshahi Medical College and hospital morgue for an autopsy.
"Efforts are on to nab the culprits,” said Ruhul.
