After a hiatus of more than one and a half years, Chittagong University (CU) is all set to reopen its residential halls to students on October 18.
Only master’s and fourth-year undergrad students will be staying in the dormitories upon reopening, confirmed Chittagong University Acting Registrar M Monirul Hasan on Tuesday afternoon.
The decision to reopen the residential halls was taken at a virtual meeting of the vice-chancellor, pro vice-chancellor, registrar and hall provosts on Monday.
Students will need to have taken at least one dose of the Covid vaccine to access the residential facilities, Monirul said.
