Rapid Action Battalion has detained an alleged drug dealer in Tangail with 105g of heroin that has street value of around Tk10.5 lakh.
Acting on a tip-off, members RAB-12 conducted a drive at Korotia area of Sadar upazila on Thursday morning and apprehended the suspect.
The detainee identified as Sanwar Hossain, 50, hails from Matikata area of Rajshahi, confirmed Abdullah Al Mamun, commander of RAB 12 CPC 3 in Tangail.
He said: “Sanwar Hossain has been sued in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act allegedly selling contraband heroin all across the Tangail district."
