A married couple was found dead in their residence at Subarnapur in Sadar upazila of Comilla early Monday.
Kamal Krishna Dhar, inspector of Kotwali Model police station, said local people saw the door of the couple’s house open in the morning and found them dead.
The hands and legs of the couple—Billal Hossain, 75, a rural doctor, and his wife Safura Begum, 55,—were found tied up, but there were no injury marks on their bodies.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Comilla Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police initially suspect that miscreants might have broken into the house sometime at night and suffocated them to death.
