Man held with 2C worth heroin in Rajshahi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an anti-crime drive arrested an alleged drug dealer with almost two kilograms of heroin in Rajshahi Sunday night, which has a street value of around Tk2 crore.

RAB sources said the arrested was identified as Shukur Mondal, 26, son of late Sachhu Mondal, of Suboddi village under Daulatpur upazila in Manikganj.

On a tip-off, a team of the RAB 5 conducted a drive in Padma Residential area under Chandrima police station in Rajshahi city around 10:30pm and arrested him with the huge heroin red-handed, the sources added.

Later, the arrested person along with the seized contraband drugs was handed over to the police today.

A case was recorded with Chandrima police station in this connection.
