A man has been administered two doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 within a minute in Habiganj’s Bahubal upazila.
According to locals, Robi Kalindi, 54, a worker of Vrindavan Tea Garden in Putijuri area of the upazila, went to Bahubal Upazila Health Complex around midday on Monday to get vaccinated, reports Bangla Tribune.
The on-duty nurse first vaccinated Kalindi with a dose in his left hand. Within a minute of him sitting there, the nurse took another vaccine and pushed it into his right hand before he understood anything.

As soon as another person standing next to them notified about the blunder, Kalindi was immediately taken under observation.
Confirming the matter, Bahubal Upazila Health Officer Dr Babul Kumar Das said: “There was an overflowing crowd at the vaccination center. This incident happened due to the misunderstandings and negligence on the part of health workers and vaccinator.”
However, a three-member committee headed by Dr Tania Afroz, a resident medical officer at the health complex, has been formed to investigate whether anyone was negligent in the incident, he added.
