Two women were crushed under the wheels of a train in Gazipur’s Salna are on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Shajeda Akhter, 50, a resident in Gaibandha, and Morsheda Begum, 35, from Jamalpur.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, ASI Kamal Hossain said: “The two victims were crushed under the wheels of an express train in Tekibari area on Dhaka-Rajshahi route while they were walking on the route, leaving Shajeda and Morsheda dead on the spot.
“Later, the bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy,” he added.
