Police have arrested a man from Narayanganj’s Fatullah for allegedly killing his wife over a family feud Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Tanjida Akhter Poppy, 25, daughter of Ali Ashraf of Baktabali's Rajapur.
Tipped off, Fatullah police went to the spot and recovered the body.
The recovered body was later sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Officer-in-Charge Rakibuzzaman.
Fatullah Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Zakir Masud said the victim's husband, Hira Chowdhury, was hiding in a room nearby and was arrested in connection with the murder.
The knife used in the killing was recovered during the arrest, he said.
Police will soon file a murder case in this regard.
