Multiple journalist organizations held human chains and demonstrations in Dhaka city on Wednesday, demanding unconditional release of arrested Prothom Alo Senior Correspondent Rozina Islam.
They also demanded punishment of those involved in harassing her at the secretariat for several hours on Monday, before handing her over to the police.
Dhaka Reporters Unity, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalist, Barisal Divisional Journalist Association, Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum, Bangladesh Photo Journalists Association and several other organizations held a human chain in front of the National Press Club around 11am.
Bangladesh Chhatra, Jubo O Sram Odhikar Parishad also demonstrated at the Central Shaheed Minar on Dhaka University campus.
