Seven people were killed and several others were injured in separate road accidents in Pabna, Mymensingh and Faridpur.
In Pabna, three people were killed and six others injured when a truck overturned at Chargargari Alhaz intersection in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna.
The deceased were identified as Jubbar Pramanik and Matier Shah of Ishwardi upazila, and Shukur Ali of Joypurhat district.
The accident took place around 11pm on Sunday night when the banana-laden truck from Lakshmikunda overturned after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three dead on the spot and six others injured, said Md Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi police station.
The injured, some of whom were in critical condition, were taken to Pabna General Hospital, he added.
In Mymensingh, two motorcyclists were crushed under the wheels of a sand-laden truck in Shantinagar adjacent to the Maskanda bus stand of the town around 9pm on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Sujon Miya, 28, son of late Abul Hossain and Sumon Miya, 13, son of Suruj Ali. Both were residents of Muktijoddha Polli in the town.
Mymensingh Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Alauddin said police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent them to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue.
In Faridpur, two people were killed in a collision between a Mahendra and a pickup at Talma intersection of Faridpur-Bhanga highway.
One of the deceased was identified as Kamrul but the other could not be identified yet.
Three others were injured in the incident.
They were admitted to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital.
The incident occurred on Monday morning in Nagarkanda upazila.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Nagarkanda Circle Md Suminur Rahman said that a pickup going to Faridpur collided head-on with a Mahendra en route to Bhanga in the morning. Two people were killed on the spot. Three people were injured in the incident.
The injured are Mehdi Salehin, Naeem and Sabuj. He said the bodies were recovered and taken to Bhanga Highway police station.
