Former law minister Abdul Matin Khasru has been buried at his ancestral home in Comilla, after the fifth and final namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayers) there.
His first janaza was held at the Bakshi Bazar Alia Madrasa ground in Old Dhaka at around 8:30am on Thursday, and the second one on the Supreme Court premises one and half hours later.
The third namaz-e-janaza was offered after Zohr prayers at Burichang upazila sadar in Comilla, and the fourth one at the Brahmanpara High School ground at 4pm, followed by the last one after Asr prayers also at Brahmanpara upazila.

Then he was buried at his village, Mirpur, in Sadar union of Brahmanpara upazila.
The seasoned lawyer died at a Dhaka hospital on Wednesday afternoon, at the age of 71.
Khasru, who was a five-time elected member of parliament from Comilla 5 constituency and the president of Supreme Court Bar Association, was put on life support at around 11:30am on Tuesday.
Earlier, he was moved to a cabin in the hospital on March 31 when his condition improved.
Matin Khasru was diagnosed with Covid-19 and was under treatment at the hospital from March 16.
On April 1, his Covid-19 test result came negative, but his physical condition suddenly deteriorated.
