Islamist orator Rafiqul Islam Madani, popularly known as "shishu bokta" (child preacher), has been sued in another digital security case.
The case was filed with the Basan police station in Gazipur by a local named Mustafizur Rahman on Sunday morning.
“Another case has been filed against Rafiqul under the Digital Security Act (DSA) on charges being involved in anti-state activities and instigating violence, hate through his social media handles,” confirmed Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Basan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Kamrul Faruq to Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier on Saturday, Rafiqul was transferred from the Gazipur District Jail to Kashimpur Central Jail-2 under the strict guard of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police.
Gazipur District Jail Superintendent Bazlur Rashid Akhand had confirmed the transfer to Dhaka Tribune.
According to jail sources, Madani was sent to Kashimpur Central Jail-2 from the district jail at around 9:15am on Saturday. He reached Kashimpur Central Jail-2 at 10am.

Uniformed members from law enforcement agencies, as well as various intelligence agencies, kept him under surveillance, the jail sources added.
On April 8, RAB had filed the first digital security case against the 26-year-old preacher with the Gachha police station in Gazipur.
RAB arrested Madani on the charges of making anti-state statements and instigating unrest from his home in Netrokona on April 7.
Madani was handed over to the police in Gazipur the same night.
On March 26, Madani and 30 others were detained and later released by the police for clashes during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh.
He has been accused of spreading negative and provocative remarks about the administration through YouTube.
Several destructive activities were carried out in various places, including Brahmanbaria and Chittagong, following Madani’s provocative statements.
