A dead body has been found from a cottage named Sweet Home in the Cottage Zone of Kalatali, Cox's Bazar.
Criminal Investigation Department and local police recovered the body around 5pm on Tuesday. The body has been taken to the morgue.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan, son of Zaker Hossain of Badsha Ghona area in Cox's Bazar.
The cottage authorities said that two days ago, three people including two friends rented room 302 of the cottage Sweet Home.
On Tuesday afternoon, the hotel authorities informed the police after they sensed a foul smell coming out of the room.
A police officer from the scene said he was strangled to death. There was wire marks on his neck. It is initially suspected that the two men who were with him strangled him to death, hid his body under the bed and fled.
